Occasional on recently disturbed ground

Flower 15-25 mm from top to bottom.

Skye ID: Petals reach much further out from centre than sepals.  Leaf-stipules are conspicuous and have terminal lobe much longer than side lobes.  Upper leaves are narrow, not roundish like those of violets.

Other features: Flower colouring variable but usually with much bluish-purple and some yellow and/or white.
