A garden escape that has become naturalised and widespread in the UK, but rare on Skye.  Grows on old walls.

Flower diameter c 5 mm

Skye ID: Leaves not divided into leaflets as with Common Valerian.  Upper leaves unstalked, toothed in basal half.  Lower leaves stalked and untoothed.  Flowers with 5 petals arising from long tube c 9 mm long that has a spur c 3.5 mm long extending back from it.

Other features: Only one stamen, which protrudes from tube.
