Common on moorland.

Height c 8-15 cm.  Flower c 2-2.5 cm long

Skye ID: Upper (hooded) petal has 2 small teeth near top, no others lower down.  5-angled calyx has 4 leafy lobes, not 2.

Other features: Plant is shorter than Marsh Lousewort and less upright in growth.  Plants with a hairy calyx are ssp hibernica; those with a hairless one are ssp sylvatica.  In North Skye the two seem about equally common but in the South the latter is generally commoner.
