Frequent on damp mountain rocks, also sometimes found at foot of mountains growing from seeds washed down by burns. Flower diameter c 12-15 mm ID: Flower colour unique among saxifrages. Other features: Leaves very densely packed, a dark blue-green colour, often secreting lime at the tip. Flowers very early in the year, but may produce a few bonus flowers later in the summer. |
