Very common among tall herbage and wherever it can find something to scramble over; also occurs on shore close to tideline where it tends to lie flat. Flower diameter c 2-3 mm Skye ID: Easily told from other Bedstraw species by rough feel - clings to clothing. Other features: Annual. Fruits covered with hooked hairs which cling to animal fur and help disperse seeds. |
