Rare, on limestone rock.

Leaves c 8-15 cm long.  Flowers c 12-16 mm diameter.  Fruit c 10-15 mm diameter.

Skye ID: A bush or small tree.  Leaves oval, undivided, with upper half toothed (teeth acute and often curved forward) but untoothed towards the base, densely white-felted on the underside.

Other features: Flowers rather like those of Rowan, but larger.  Fruit a red berry, broader than long.
