Occasional on mountains in bare ground or short grass

Leaflets 0.5-2 cm.  Flower diameter c 4-6 mm.

Skye ID: Flowers with 5 widely spaced petals, shorter than sepals.  (Petals sometimes absent).  Leaves bluish-green with 3 leaflets, each with its tip divided into 3 teeth.

Other features: Leaves often purplish beneath.  Leaf-rosettes grow from a woody stock in the manner of young Strawberry plants.  Stems reddish.
