Probably not native, rare, in non-acid scrubland. Flruit c 10-15 mm long. A dense shrub up to 3 m tall. ID: Leaf-underside densely clothed with fruity-scented sticky brownish glands Other features: Leaflets normally 2-3 on each side. Has hooked prickles like Dog Rose but varying greatly in size and closer together. Flowers pink. Totally different in habit to the native roses (other than Burnet Rose) in the way it forms a dense mass rather than striking out in all directions. |
