Quite frequent on grassy banks.

Flower diameter c 10-15 mm

Skye ID: Flowers like Wild Strawberry but with gaps between the petals.  Leaflets with only about 5-7 teeth each side, the end tooth not extending beyond a line joining the tips of the adjacent ones.

Other features: Like all Potentilla sp, has epicalyx outside the calyx proper.  Fruit looks nothing like a strawberry.  One of the earliest plants to flower.  Flowers 1-3 together on long stalk.
