Rare on upland limestone rock ledges or crevices Flower diameter c 15-25 mm Skye ID: Flowering stems not rooting like those of Creeping Cinquefoil (non-flowering stems may root to a small extent). Flowering stems arise from the sides of terminal leaf-rosettes, each with few leaves and few flowers or sometimes only one. Flowers have 5 petals, base leaves have 5 leaflets, upper flower-stem leaves mostly have 3. Other features: Petals usually, but not always, have orange blotch at base. |
