Common in woods and shady places Flower diameter c 20 mm Skye ID: Stipules very large, almost half as large as leaf lobes. Yellow flowers opening flat, not bell-shaped. Other features: Fruit has hooked spines that cling to animal fur to aid dispersal. Hybrids with Water Avens are frequently found; they have smaller stipules and flowers that may be yellowish but are more bell-like and less flat. |
