Taxonomic note: This includes a number of microspecies.  Those found on Skye are A glabra, A wichurae, A filicaulis and A xanthochlora.  A garden escape, A mollis, also occurs.

Common in grassland, roadsides, banks, open country from lowlands to high in hills.

Flower diameter c 4 mm

Skye ID: Leaves unmistakable.  Divided to less than halfway, unlike Alpine Lady's Mantle

Other features: Flowers very small, greenish-yellow, in clusters, with 4-lobed epicalyx, 4 sepals, no petals, 4-5 stamens.
