Rare in dry grassland and sand dunes.

Flower diameter c 15-30 mm

Skye ID: A buttercup with the sepals downturned once the flowers are open.  Lower leaves divided into three leaflets.

Other features: Base of stem a bulb-like swelling.  Leaves with 3 well-cut lobes.  Stem hairy.
