Rare, in heather or woodland Flower diameter c 4-8 mm Skye ID: Flowers pinkish-white, not greenish-white, and not all on same side of spike (this separates it from Toothed Wintergreen). Style not protruding from flower and only 1-2 mm long, shorter than stamens (separates from Intermediate Wintergreen which has style c 5 mm long, protruding from flower, and has flowers c 10 mm across, and from Round-leaved Wintergreen which has even larger style and flowers) Other features: Leaves all from base and with very shallow toothing as shown in bottom pic. |
