Fumaria muralis agg

Taxonomic note:  Am including F bastardii in this aggregate as these two very similar species intergrade and the specimens in the pictures had a mixture of characters from both, though were more muralis than bastardii.  Plants from Skye are F muralis subspecies Boraei.

Rare weed of cultivated ground

Flower c 10-12 mm long

Skye ID: Flowers pink, dark-tipped, over 9 mm long.  Lowest petal parallel-sided when viewed from above or below.  Sepals no more than 1½ times as long as broad.

Other features: Sepals not normally toothed all the way round as in these pictures, but toothed in lower half.  Fruit on straight stalks at about 45° to the stem.  Leaves similar to F capreolata  Lower petal margins erect from a quarter of the way past the base to the tip.
