Infrequent on dry moorland. Plant c 12-30 cm tall. Flowers c 4-5 mm across Skye ID: Lowest petal 3-lobed, divided to more than halfway, and spur (tubular continuation of flower behind point of attachment) no longer than 3mm, distinguishes it from any other whitish Skye orchid. Other features: A small compact flowerhead, with the yellowish-white flowers somewhat drooping and turned to the side. The upper two petals and three sepals form a hood. |
