Common on paths, rock faces, roadsides, on bare ground or short grass.

Flower c 15 mm long.

Skye ID: Calyx-teeth appressed to bud.  Angle between upper two sepal-teeth U-shaped.  See also Lotus uliginosus

Other features: A ground-hugging plant.  Leaves have five leaflets but lower two are at base and bent back so looking more like stipules.
