Common in damp lowland habitats.

Flower c 12-15 mm long.  Plant typically 60-80 cm tall.

Skye ID: Leaves strap-shaped, very hairy, well over 3x as long as broad and the upper unstalked.  Flower light or medium purple with extensive white blotches as in pic below.

Other features: Lower leaves have stalks < 5 mm.  Flowers in whorls of about 6 in axils of bracts which are like the leaves, becoming smaller as you go upwards.
