Frequent in wet ground, including roadside ditches and marshy ground by the shore. Height c 30-60 cm. Flower diameter c 10-16 mm Skye ID: Stem square, 4-winged. Other features: Petals about half as long again as sepals. Hairless. Leaves with translucent dots when held against light (as in most Hypericum species). Leaves similar to H pulchrum but without down-turned edges. Flowers and leaves both have black dots. |
