Common in grassland and moorland Stems to 75 cm high. Spikelets 3-6 mm Skye ID: Unmistakable. Other features: Fertile spikelets have 2-5 flowers and are concealed among sterile spikelets which have c 12-18 narrow pointed bracts which give the plant its striking appearance. |
