Very common on moorland, woodland clearings, beside paths, etc. Stem diameter c 1-4 mm Skye ID: Teeth of sheaths united into a few lobes, less than the number of grooves on the stem. Other features: Branches themselves branched and drooping. Fertile stems at first brown and unbranched, later becoming like the sterile stems. |
