Common on wet moorland, especially in alkaline flushes. Stems c 15-60 cm. Infloresence c 1-1.5 cm long. Skye ID: Infloresence very black, consisting of c 5-10 densely packed spikelets each with 1-4 flowers/fruits, with a bract much longer than the infloresence. Other features: Densely tufted. Leaves more than half as long as stem, inrolled. |
