Rare, in wet ground beside lochs Inflorescence c 1-5 cm long. Fruits c 2.8-3.5 mm long including beak. Skye ID: Infloresence consists of about 5-10 spikes grouped together as shown, each male at the top, female at base, and unstalked. Leaves < 2 mm wide, compare Greater Tussock Sedge with leaves > 3 mm wide Other features: Does not form huge tussocks like Greater Tussock Sedge, may form small ones. Fruits similar in shape to GTS but without wings. |
