Infrequent, on stony or sandy ground or walls.  Not extending into uplands like S anglicum.

Flower diameter c 12 mm

Skye ID: In flower easily identified by yellow flowers: those of S anglicum are white or pink

Other features: Named for its peppery taste.  Leaves similar to S anglicum, fleshy, roundish in cross-section, densely packed together especially on non-flowering shoots.
