Common in dry places with bare ground or short grass. Flowerhead diameter c 20-30 mm. Stem 5-30 cm. Skye ID: Basal rosette has leaves white below, green with long white hairs above. A single erect stem arises from the rosette with no proper leaves though sometimes a few scales, and a single pale yellow flowerhead terminates the stem. Other features: Spreads by above-ground stolons bearing distant narrow leaves. |
