Occasional on bare stony ground in mountains Stems c 3-12 cm high. Flowerheads c 5-7 mm long. ID: Leaves linear and felted with silvery hairs on both sides like those of Marsh Cudweed, but the flowerheads are vertically arranged in a short spike, not all on the same level in a flat head. Other features: Flowers pink when open; those in picture are past flowering. Flowerheads c 2-7 per spike. Involucral bracts brown with green centres. |
