Common on bare ground or in short turf, often at foot of walls or rocks. Flower diameter normally 1-1.5 cm but can be up to 2.5 cm. Skye ID: Bracts around flowerhead consist of an inner row plus an outer row of much shorter ones, without intermediates between these. Upper leaves clasp stem with pair of backward-pointing basal lobes. Styles dark yellow, not greenish-black. Other features: Normally annual. Involucre wider at base than in middle. |
