Very common on roadsides, in fields and dry moorland. Flower diameter c 2-4 cm Skye ID: Stem with interrupted spiny wings. Leaves with spines on upper surface as well as edges. Other features: Involucral bracts (lower part of flowerhead) with yellowish spiny recurved tips. |
