Common on shore, especially in saltmarshes.

Flowerhead diameter c 12-20 mm

Skye ID: Unmistakable, told from escaped Michaelmas Daisies by fleshy leaves.

Other features: Sometimes the mauve ray-florets are absent, but I have not seen any like this on Skye.  They can also be very pale or even white.
