Flower c 20 mm across

Fairly frequent on the edge of scrubland and on shady roadsides.

Flower diameter c 20-30 mm

Skye ID: Petals notched to about halfway, petals much longer than sepals.  All leaves unstalked, narrow and tapering from near the base to a pointed tip.  No similar Skye plant has flowers over 12 mm apart from Arctic Mousear which has totally different leaves.

Other features: Leaves a somewhat bluish, not yellowish, green.  On young shoots leaves held upright closely pressed together as in last picture. Some shoots do not flower.  Stems square.  Stamens up to 10, styles 3.  Sepals not conspicuously veined as they are in Lesser Stitchwort
