West Highland Flora

Common in much of the area but surprisingly rare in Skye and some other places.  Roadsides, fields, grassy banks, and on rockfaces from the coast to mountain summits.

Flowers c 13-18 mm long.

ID: Unmistakeable in flower.

Other features: Flower divided into 5 lobes to about a third of the way down.  Upper leaves linear; lower leaves with roundish blade and long stalk, but soon withering.
