Furthest left flower 4.5 cm long

An invasive non-native species of damp ground and river banks, causing severe damage to natural habitats in Argyll, but less common further north.

Plant typically 1-2 m tall.  Flower c 3-5 cm long.

ID: Flowers unmistakable.

Other features: Flowers vary from white to deep pink.  Stems red, leaves often in whorls of three.  Annual.
